Spiritual Direction Supervision

Supervision is a safe and confidential sacred space to explore everything related to your spiritual direction sessions and to the directees that you accompany. We discuss and feel into the journey of your directees and your own journey as a spiritual director, the impact of your experiences in your own spiritual life and beyond, and how this interacts with and impacts your accompaniment work and your ability to be present with your directee and with God.

We look at your own personal and professional growth, allow space for honest expression of your own feelings and responses, and look into issues of projection and co-transference.

Discerning co-transference can be seen as a "raising to consciousness" or "bringing into the light" of processes, patterns and dynamics.

There are fun things we can do to feel into and explore responses to your directees, such as a meditation where you imagine what they remind you or in various ways and interpret this with a drawing! We can also use techniques from IFS (Internal Family Systems), both for understanding your own and your directee's perspectives and motivations, for instance.
